Our Commitment to Child Safety

The Life Group app is committed to maintaining a safe environment and takes seriously the prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We comply with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and industry best practices for protecting children online.

What is CSAE?

CSAE refers to child sexual abuse and exploitation, including content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. This includes grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any form of sexual exploitation of minors.

Zero Tolerance for CSAM

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) is illegal and strictly prohibited. Our Terms of Service explicitly forbid using the Life Group app to store, share, or distribute CSAM. Any visual depiction involving minors in sexually explicit conduct is prohibited and will result in immediate action.

Reporting Mechanisms

We provide ways for users to report concerns about child safety:

In-App Feedback: Users can reach out to us directly through the app's feedback form in Settings to report any concerns about inappropriate content or behavior
Direct Contact: Reports can be sent to our designated CSAM point of contact (available upon request to authorized parties)
Emergency Situations: We encourage immediate reporting to local law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at www.cybertipline.org

Our Response Process

When CSAM or CSAE concerns are reported, we take immediate action:

Immediate Review: All reports are reviewed promptly by our designated CSAM point of contact
Content Removal: Suspected CSAM is immediately removed and preserved for law enforcement
Account Action: Accounts involved in CSAE activity are immediately suspended or terminated
Law Enforcement Reporting: We report CSAM to NCMEC and cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations
Prevention Measures: We implement additional safeguards to prevent future incidents

Proactive Safety Measures

Beyond responding to reports, we implement proactive measures to prevent CSAE:

Content moderation and monitoring systems
User behavior analysis to identify suspicious patterns
Age-appropriate content restrictions
Community guidelines that explicitly prohibit CSAE
Regular security audits and updates

Designated CSAM Point of Contact

We maintain a designated point of contact who is responsible for overseeing CSAM prevention practices and compliance with child safety policies. This individual is available to communicate with Google Play and law enforcement regarding our child safety practices.

Compliance with Industry Standards

Our child safety practices align with global norms and are inspired by the Tech Coalition Child Safety Standards. We continuously review and update our practices to meet evolving best practices in child safety.
